A 20 meters container is a standard medium size container that can be used in shipping products up to 30 tons. This is the most common container equipment at the moment. Since it is compact, such containers can be used for railroad and road shipping not only seaway. They are equally requested by both different companies and individuals.

Twenty meters-long sea container provides the products delivered most safely and comfortably. Also, by choosing such a shipment container you can be sure the security of the load since these containers are closed securely. Also, a standard 20m container designed for sea transport has the following technical features for approximately 24 tons of gross weight for the maximum load. The loading volume of such containers is universal and 33 cubic meters.

Design

A standard 20 meters container is a closed container mounted from the bottom, roof, walls, and doors. Such transport equipment is previously subjected to anticorrosive treatment and is made from a 3 mm thick steel section plate. The base of the container is supported with a 30 mm thick wooden floor. The wings can be opened from the front or the side.

Depending on certain container types, design features are different. That’s why a ventilated container has an open canvas and its height can be changed if desired. A 20 meters container can carry bulk for carrying furniture and can act as a refrigerator (equipped with a cooling unit and finished with a polyurethane foam isolation) for transporting vegetables and fruits.

When the load’s weight exceeds the capacity of a normal 20 meters container and it’s not practical to use a bigger container, an increased capacity container different in size from a standard container only in terms of maximum load.
